Newton Delivers GAToR to NASA GSFC

Throughout the last few weeks, Newton has been gearing up to deliver its newest application (GAToR) to NASA GSFC. GAToR is a GSE application that tilts and rotates in order to support PACE's spacecraft optical spectrometer. PACE is NASA's Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem mission scheduled to launch in 2022. PACE's spectrometer, Ocean Color Instrument (OCI) will measure wavelengths from the top of the atmosphere in order to investigate the oceans, atmosphere, and climate related factors to add to our understanding of key ecosystems. It will also enable continuous measurement of light at finer wavelength resolution than previous NASA satellite sensors, extending key system ocean color data records for climate studies.

On Tuesday, members of NASA Goddard's Logistics services team helped us carefully move GAToR to NASA GSFC. The move consisted of strategically wrapping, and fork-lifting the application to have a successful and smooth delivery. After long hours of precision and focus we cannot wait to see GAToR in action!
